GBP futures: extra losses likely short-term

CME Group’s flash data for GBP futures markets noted open interest rose by around 2.7K contracts on Thursday. In the same line, volume increased by almost 5.5K contracts, extending the choppy activity for the time being.

GBP/USD faces some consolidation ahead of potential pullbacks

Cable’s negative performance yesterday was on the back of rising both open interest and volume, leaving the door open for further retracements in the near term. However, the erratic activity in volume could allow for some consolidation around current levels.
